James Tanner, Lead Pastor Pastor Tanner’s passion in ministry is to foster an increased awareness of the Great Commission to congregations and individuals so that as each of us continually grows in our discipleship, we may truly make disciples in a world that, even today, is in need of a Savior. In addition to graduating from the Gettysburg Theological Seminary in 1983, Pastor Tanner also graduated from the Penna. School of Nursing, Geisinger Medical Center School of Anesthesia, and Ottawa (Kansas) University. Previous pastoral calls included St. John Center Lutheran Church, East Earl, PA and Zion Lutheran Church in Akron, PA. His wife Barbara operates a fudge and candy business. The Tanners have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
